Grand Blanc Parks and Recreation
Grand Blanc Parks & Recreation is currently accepting registrations for the following programs:
Registrations are being accepted for T-Ball (ages 5-6) and Girls Coach Pitch Softball (ages 7-9) until March 27th. A late registration fee will apply beginning March 28th, with practices starting April 10 and games beginning on April 20th.
Registrations are being accepted for 10 & Under and 13 & Under girls softball until April 23. Beginning April 24-May 5 registrations are accepted with a late registration fee. The evaluation day is scheduled for May 6th at Creasey Bicentennial Park, with the 10U running from 10:00-11:00 a.m., and the 13U running from 11:00 a.m.-noon. Practices begin May 18th with games scheduled to begin June 12th.

Open Swim meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the High School West pool until May 17th. Check the GBPR website (gbparks.com) for dates Open Swim does not meet.
Registration for Spring Swim classes will begin March 20th. Classes begin March 25th and run through June 10th. Check the GBPR website (gbparks.com) for dates swim classes do not meet.
A Red Cross Lifeguard Training class will begin March 1 and run through March 29. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and must be able to attend all class meetings. Participants are required to bring birth certificates or driver’s license to first class meeting to confirm age requirements.
Registrations for Girls Lacrosse is currently ongoing. There are two age groups grades 5-6 and grades 7-8. Registration for Boys Lacrosse is ongoing for grades 3-4, with a waiting list for both grades 5-6 and 7-8. If enough participants sign up on the waiting list, consideration will be given to adding another team.
Registration is also available for the following Community Education programs; Aqua Aerobics Winter Session II and Spring Session, Little Ninjas & Kids Power Karate Spring Session, Creative Writing Workshop, Babysitter Training, Heartsaver First Aid, Essential Oils, and STEM Program—Electrical Circuits.
2017 Dog Park Memberships are also available now--$25 for Grand Blanc residents and $35 for non-residents. A membership covers all dogs in a household.
-Please watch your mailbox for the new summer and fall program booklet scheduled to be mailed to all households in Grand Blanc in mid-April. If you do not receive the booklet by April 25, please stop by the Parks and Recreation office or the nearest Grand Blanc elementary school to pick one up.

The Grand Blanc Parks & Recreation Commission was formed in 1970 as a part-time operation, before becoming full time in 1975. The Commission offers programming and special events for residents of all ages year round; pre-school, youth, teens, adults and senior citizens. A variety of programs and offerings has also been developed for those children and families with special needs.
